Customs & Customs Clearance
What's the difference between customs clearance and express customs processing?
Standard customs clearance requires 48 hours advance planning. Express customs processing is completed same-day, ideal for urgent or dedicated shipments.
What documents do I need for customs clearance?
This depends on the shipment. Typically required: commercial invoice, packing list, transport documents (CMR, AWB etc.), and where applicable, permits (Swissmedic, SECO).

We handle clearance at the following border crossings:

How do I get the customs documents?
If we have enough time, we can email the prepared import customs declarations to the loading point. They can then be printed out and handed to the driver. This means there are no waiting times at the border.
If the truck is already on the road, the documents can also be picked up at the desired border crossing point at one of our partner offices.

What types of transport does FGS offer?
We offer complete solutions for land, air, and sea freight – including multimodal logistics and direct customs connection.
Can I book storage space at short notice?
Yes – our storage solutions are flexibly scalable. Depending on your needs, we organize temporary storage, long-term storage, or shipping preparation.
Courier & Express Service
How quickly can I book a courier service?
Typically within 1–2 hours. We recommend early registration for customs clearance and handover.
Is the courier service also available for international shipments?
Yes, including customs clearance and delivery through our international partners.
- Do you also accept small packages for private individuals or only for companies?
We assist both private individuals and businesses – whether it’s a single package or a larger shipment.
- I want to order something from abroad, but the supplier doesn’t deliver to Switzerland, can you help me?
Certainly! Order your goods to our delivery address in Germany and we will take care of the customs clearance and delivery to your address in Switzerland.
