1. What is this about?
In the course of our business we collect various types of personal data. Personal data are any information relating to a person who can be identified directly (for example name, photo) or indirectly with the help of additional information (for example a job title).
This notice explains our data processing practices as required by data protection law.
2. Who are we?
We are a group of companies operating under the following entities:

3. Which personal data do we collect?
In addition to the information you provide directly (through what you tell us and what you do on our sites; this can include, for example, your IP address, browser type and the referring address when you browse our website), we may also obtain information about you from third-party sources, such as:
– Information from a customer or employer we deal with (for example contact details)
– Credit information and references
– Details about orders we receive from third parties that concern you (for example if we deliver or perform services on your behalf)
– Documents relating to you, powers of attorney
– Extracts from public registers (for example commercial register)
– Information from legal proceedings in which you are involved, witness statements
– Recommendations or notices from third parties about you
– Your social media or online activity
– Publications in which you appear
4. Are personal data transferred abroad?
Yes — transfers to other countries may occur. For example, your contact details may be shared with business partners and/or authorities in other countries when required for the handling or oversight of a transaction involving your company.
Apart from basic contact details (name, business address, telephone, email, job title), no further personal data are disclosed without your consent to parties not involved in the relevant business transaction.
5. For what purposes do we collect personal data?
We process personal data for the following purposes (in addition to any purposes notified to you separately):

– Operating our infrastructure and websites
– Our own marketing (e.g. mailings, events) and relationship management
– Market analysis, business planning and development
– Compliance with laws, standards and internal instructions

6. To whom do we disclose personal data?
We disclose data to:
– Group companies
– Service providers (for example logistics providers)
– Authorities at home and abroad (where necessary)
– Business partners such as suppliers and customers
– Third parties that receive data collected via the website (see also section 3)
7. How do we use cookies and similar technologies on our websites, and how do we handle personal data on social networks?
When you use our websites (including newsletters), technical data are recorded in logs. We also use cookies and similar technologies to recognise visitors. A cookie is a small file exchanged between your device and the server that enables the recognition of a specific device or browser.
You can configure your browser to reject, accept or delete cookies automatically. You may also disable or delete cookies on a case-by-case basis. Please consult your browser’s help menu to learn how to manage cookies.
Generally, the technical data we collect and cookies do not contain personal data.
We maintain pages and other presences on social networks and third-party platforms and process data in that context. We receive data from you (for example when you contact us or comment on our content) and from the platform providers (for example statistics). Platform providers may analyse your usage and combine those data with other information they hold about you. They may also process such data for their own purposes (for example marketing and research) and act as independent controllers. For details on the platform providers’ processing activities, please refer to their privacy policies.

Some of our third-party providers may be located outside Switzerland. See section 6 for information on transfers abroad. In data protection terms, they may in some cases act as processors on our behalf and in other cases as independent controllers. Their privacy notices provide further details.
We may — but are not obliged to — review content posted to our online presences before or after publication, remove content without notice and report it to the platform operator if necessary.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, to request correction of inaccurate information and to object to processing. Please assert your rights in writing.
